BDO Belgium is seeking an Innovation Officer in Accounting to turn ideas into action within our accounting teams. You will co-develop the innovation roadmap, translate business needs into prototypes, and test tools across data analytics, BI, RPA, and ML/AI concepts.

You will drive pilots, measure impact with KPIs, and enable adoption while safeguarding quality and compliance. With 2–5 years in accounting or a strong affinity to accounting processes, you bridge business and technology through

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Business, Accounting, CS, or Engineering.
• 2–5 years in accounting or strong accounting process affinity.
• Hands-on data analytics, BI tools, RPA, workflow automation or ML/AI proofs of concept.
• Ability to prototype or drive R&D from structured requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and English fluency; Dutch or French a plus.

Responsabilités

• Accelerate the accounting innovation roadmap with pragmatic, aligned initiatives.
• Translate needs into proofs of concept, prototypes and pilots.
• Experiment with data analytics, BI tools, RPA, ML/AI prototypes.
• Coordinate pilots with internal teams and member firms; assess impact and risk.
• Define KPIs to quantify time savings and quality improvements.
• Develop training materials and onboard users for new tools.
• Ensure new tech aligns with accounting standards and regulatory expectations.
