Elite Group, headquartered in Hasselt, Belgium, seeks an experienced Accountant to joining the 13-person finance team. The role focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting, optimizing processes, and supporting the financial health of the company.

The position offers a full-time permanent contract (38 hours/week) with an attractive salary and benefits, including a company car, and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting position.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes.
• Experience with accounting software; knowledge of Exact Globe and Exact Online is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsabilités

• Booking purchase and sales invoices for multiple small to medium-sized companies.
• Administrative processing of personnel expenses and various costs.
• Preparing and following up on payments.
• Preparing complete accounting files from A to Z, including depreciation, provisions and VAT.
• Supporting monthly and annual closing (final filing handled externally).
• Preparing and sending outgoing invoices to customers.
• Assisting with verification and recharging of costs, including reporting.
• Preparing quarterly reports to support financial reporting.
• Reporting to the Financial Controller.

Job details

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting activities within our organization. You will work closely with the management team to optimize financial processes, ensure accurate reporting, and support the financial health of the company.

A selection of your responsibilities:

Booking purchase and sales invoices for approximately five small to medium-sized companies, with attention to analytical accuracy.

Administrative processing of personnel expenses and various costs, including correct allocation to the appropriate departments.

Preparing and following up on payments.

Preparing complete accounting files from A to Z, including depreciation, provisions, and VAT processing.

Supporting the monthly and annual closing (final filing is handled externally).

Preparing and sending outgoing invoices to customers.

Assisting with the verification and recharging of costs, including related reporting.

Preparing quarterly reports to support financial reporting.

Reporting to the Financial Controller.

Experience

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting position.

You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes.

You have experience with accounting software; knowledge of Exact Globe and Exact Online is a plus.

You are comfortable working with MS Office, with a strong focus on Excel.

You possess strong analytical skills and work accurately and in a structured way.

You have good communication skills and can report clearly.

You are a team player with a proactive and results-driven mindset.

Knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations is an additional asset.
