Sphere Defense is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our engineering-driven team in Belgium. You will program and operate 5-axis mill-turn machines to produce aerospace-grade components from aluminum, steel, and titanium.

You will transform CAD data into CAM toolpaths, read drawings with GD&T, and ensure parts meet exacting specifications through part inspection and CAM program maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience programming and operating 5-axis CNC machines (mill/turn) for light to heavy aerospace-grade alloys.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Proficient in CAM processing steps and posting to CAM software packages.
• Track record of maintaining CAM programs in a structured library.
• Experience with quality inspection and tolerance verification.
• Familiarity with HEIDENHAIN and FANUC controllers.

Responsabilités

• Transform CAD files to CAM toolpaths for 5-axis milled/turned parts.
• Read drawings/models to ensure dimensions and specs are met.
• Verify machined parts against drawings via manual and automated inspection.
• Version, document, and maintain CAM programs in the company library.
• Program and operate 5-axis mill-turn CNC machines for aerospace components.
• Ensure machine health and tolerance checks are performed.
