Job summary

Lead Council is seeking a driven professional to lead the Towards Zero Waste Strategy and circular economy initiatives, coordinating policy, planning, stakeholder engagement and technical advice to deliver improved waste and resource management outcomes in the Blue Mountains.

You will work with internal services, government agencies, industry partners and the community to implement practical improvements, support major contracts and help shape future waste services in the region.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in waste, resource management and circular economy, including policy, strategy and systems development.
Strong stakeholder, community and industry engagement skills, with experience developing partnerships.
High-level project management, budgeting, organisational and team leadership skills.
Demonstrated experience and a record of success in leading, managing and developing teams.

Responsibilities

Coordinate policy, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement for waste initiatives.
Deliver service reviews and provide technical advice to improve waste and resource management.
Collaborate with internal services, government agencies, industry partners and community to implement improvements.
Support major contracts and shape future waste services in the Blue Mountains.
