Job summary

Blue Mountains City Council seeks a senior leader to drive the Towards Zero Waste Strategy, coordinate policy and strategic planning, and lead stakeholder engagement across internal services and community partners. You will oversee service reviews, advise on technical matters and help shape future waste services for the Blue Mountains region.

Position Description

Lead Council’s Towards Zero Waste Strategy, circular economy initiatives and waste education programs. This role coordinates policy, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, service reviews and technical advice to support sustainable waste and resource management outcomes. You will work with internal services, government agencies, industry partners, contractors and the community to deliver practical improvements, support major contracts and help shape future waste services in the Blue Mountains.

Remuneration:

• base salary commencing at $130,844 gross per annum
• + 12% superannuation
• + annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
• + annual award increase
