Job summary

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking passionate Youth Workers for Sydney Metro, offering permanent part-time and casual roles. You will support vulnerable young people aged 12-17, building confidence and life skills through relationships, mentoring, and community activities.

Roles involve trauma-informed practices, working with families and external services, and navigating rotating rosters including shifts and sleepovers.

Qualifications

• Essential Requirements include education in Community Services or Youth Work (Certificate III/IV or Diploma).
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour support approaches.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Current NSW Driver Licence and comprehensively insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support young people aged 12-17 through meaningful relationships and activities to build confidence and resilience.
• Build trusting relationships and provide a safe, supportive environment.
• Deliver engaging activities, mentoring opportunities and community experiences.
