Job summary

CatholicCare Diocese Of Broken Bay is seeking a committed Youth Worker for a permanent part-time position (30 hours/week) across the Central Coast. You will work within the Permanency Support Program, providing trauma-informed care to young people aged 11–18 in multiple homes, fostering resilience and brighter futures.

The role requires strong empathy, boundary setting, and professional communication. A Diploma in Community Services (or current study), WWCC, NSW driver’s license, and first aid

Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Services or current study in the field.
• Experience in youth work is desirable.
• Knowledge of trauma impacts on young people.
• WWCC & Criminal History Check required.
• Valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
• Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support youths aged 11–18 in a permanency program in trauma-informed care.
• Provide safe, stable environments across Central Coast homes.
• Build resilience and confidence in young people.
• Engage with families/teams with empathy and professionalism.
