Job summary

MacKillop Family Services invites a Therapeutic Specialist in Geelong to develop and implement therapeutic plans for each young person. You will guide staff through strategies, supporting healing and resilience in a trauma-informed framework.

You will join a team of experienced professionals, working with Aboriginal and CALD communities, with opportunities for ongoing training and collaboration to improve outcomes for young people in residential care.

Qualifications

• Experience working therapeutically with young people.
• Solid understanding of trauma and its impact on development.
• Ability to guide staff in implementing therapeutic strategies.
• Culturally sensitive and inclusive practice with Aboriginal and CALD communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop therapeutic strategies and plans for each young person.
• Guide and support staff in implementing plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to support healing.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to achieve positive outcomes.
