Job summary

CatholicCare is seeking an experienced Youth Worker on a permanent part-time basis for the Central Coast region. You will provide 1:1 support to young people aged 12-17, assist with activity planning, and help them develop life skills while maintaining safety and routine.

You will work under supervision with a supportive team and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment through trauma-informed care and strong communication, adapting to a dynamic roster.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and youth.
• Empathetic, resilient, and a natural communicator.
• Understanding inclusion, empowerment, and trauma-informed care.
• Willing to learn and undertake training for PEG feeding is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Support young people in navigating life’s challenges and building confidence.
• Facilitate engaging activities, mentoring sessions, and community programs.
• Advocate for youth needs and collaborate with families, schools, and support services.
• Bring your disability support experience to create inclusive spaces for our young people.
