Job summary

Kingston City Council seeks a Team Leader Youth Services to guide a newly formed team delivering contemporary youth development and early intervention programs with strong youth participation. You will lead seven staff and casuals, embedding partnerships with schools and community organisations to improve wellbeing and opportunities for young people in Kingston.

Hybrid work options are available, with a salary range of AUD 113,526–127,181 per year plus superannuation, dependent on experience,

Qualifications

• Experience leading youth services, youth development, or community development teams.
• Ability to translate youth development theory into implementable programs.
• Current Working with Children Check and Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and ongoing development of Kingston’s new Youth Services model, ensuring services are contemporary, evidence-informed and responsive to young people aged 10 to 25.
• Champion genuine youth participation by embedding young people’s voices into service design, planning, delivery and evaluation.
• Inspire, develop and support a team to deliver innovative youth development, participation and early intervention programs.
• Use data, research, evaluation and community feedback to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Build partnerships across Council, schools, services, community organisations and youth sector networks.
• Provide governance, budget oversight, risk management and reporting to ensure sustainability.
