Job summary

Kingston City Council is seeking a Team Leader Youth Services to lead a newly formed Youth Services team at Kingston. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to deliver contemporary, evidence-informed youth development and early intervention programs that are innovative and inclusive.

You will inspire a 7-strong team of staff and casuals, embed youth participation, strengthen partnerships, and use data and feedback to design services that make a measurable difference.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth services or related field with demonstrated impact.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to design evidence-informed services with youth participation.
• Strategic and operational planning capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with partners.
• Current Working with Children Check and Victorian Driver Licence, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kingston’s new Youth Services model and team to deliver contemporary, evidence-informed services.
• Champion youth participation by embedding young people’s voices in design and evaluation.
• Inspire a passionate team to develop partnerships and drive continuous improvement.
• Use data and feedback to identify trends and shape creative service responses with measurable impact.
• Build partnerships across Council, schools, services, community organisations and youth networks.
• Provide governance, budget oversight, risk management and high-quality reporting to ensure sustainability.
