Connect Northern Rivers Inc in Coffs Harbour is seeking a Youth Engagement Coordinator for a 12-month parental leave cover. The role focuses on helping young people aged 15 to 21 reconnect with education, employment or training, with a focus on practical support and goal setting.

The position is based in Coffs Harbour, part-time (48–72 hours per fortnight) with regional travel across the North Coast. Salary sacrifice options are available through our charitable status.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth work or community services preferred.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with young people and families.
• Strong organizing and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual case management and ongoing practical support to young people.
• Help young people address barriers to education, training or work.
• Connect young people and families with appropriate support services.
• Build relationships with schools, training providers and community organisations.
• Work with employers to create work experience, apprenticeships and employment opportunities.
• Promote the program and encourage referrals across the region.
• Keep accurate records of participant progress and support provided.
