Job summary

Justice in Parramatta is seeking a Youth Justice Caseworker for the Specialist Support Unit to work with young people at risk of extreme violence. You will assess needs, coordinate referrals, and develop intervention plans in collaboration with families and partners.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in social work or related fields, a NSW Driver’s Licence, and Working with Children clearance. Temporary full‑time until October 2027 with Clerk Grade 6/7 salary and employer superannuation.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualifications (diploma or higher) in social work, welfare, psychology, criminology, education or related field or relevant experience.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
• Current Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Screening, referral, engagement, assessment, and case management of at‑risk youth.
• Contribute to implementation of case management and intervention plans.
• Develop and maintain networks with multidisciplinary staff, stakeholders, and families.
