Job summary

The Queensland Government is seeking a Caseworker to deliver professional intervention services for young offenders under youth justice oversight. The role focuses on reducing re-offending and safeguarding communities through evidence-based practice.

You will work within a statutory framework, collaborate with a range of partners, prepare court reports and contribute to program development and policy alignment with the Human Rights Act 2019.

Qualifications

• Experience with cultural capability and inclusivity aligned with the Human Rights Act 2019.
• Strategic and operational HR consultancy experience.
• Ability to monitor compliance with court orders in a statutory environment.
• Experience reducing re-offending through culturally appropriate assessment and intervention.
• Collaborative work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
• Ability to prepare and present court reports and related documentation.
• Record and information management and data entry skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level strategic and operational HR consultancy to allocated portfolios.
• Work within a statutory environment to monitor young offenders' compliance with court orders.
• Proactively work to reduce re-offending using culturally appropriate assessment and intervention.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for victims, young offenders, their families, and the community.
• Prepare and present verbal and written reports to the Children's Court and prepare related documentation.
• Maintain case records and data entry to ensure accountability per policy.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, supervision, and accreditation.
