Job summary

PCYC Queensland is seeking a Youth Homelessness Support Worker to join the Cairns & Yarrabah Clubs. You will deliver direct support to at-risk youth, build trusted relationships and coordinate case management across schools, families and local agencies.

The role focuses on preventing homelessness and improving outcomes for vulnerable young people in a safe, supportive environment. Flexible work options and not-for-profit benefits are available.

Qualifications

• QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain before start date
• National Police Check
• Open driver’s license and eligibility to obtain an RDA if required
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct support to young people identified through after-school programs and community engagement activities
• Build trusted relationships, identify risks and support needs, provide case management
• Connect young people with appropriate services to prevent or address homelessness
• Collaborate with schools, families and community agencies to improve outcomes for vulnerable youth
• Maintain a safe and supportive service environment for children and young people
