Job summary

PCYC Queensland Mareeba Youth Club is seeking a Youth Homelessness Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of early intervention and support services for at‑risk youth. The role focuses on identifying young people at risk of homelessness through after‑school programs, coordinating case management and liaising with schools, government agencies and housing providers.

Qualifications

• Blue Card Working with Children Check (QLD) or ability to obtain before start.
• National Police Check required.
• Not-for-profit sector experience is desirable.
• Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or related field with at least 3 years in social/community programs is desirable.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of youth homelessness early intervention and support services.
• Identify at-risk youth through after-school programs and coordinate case management.
• Foster partnerships with schools, government agencies, housing providers and services.
• Provide guidance and support to a team of Support Workers.
