Job summary

The Family Centre in Australia is inviting applications for a Youth and Family Worker to contribute to programs that enhance parenting skills, improve relationships, and increase safety and wellbeing for children, youth and families. You will deliver services across a range of programs designed to build personal effectiveness and resilience.

Success requires a tertiary qualification in social work or related discipline, experience with vulnerable families, strong communication skills, and the

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in social work, social sciences or related discipline.
• Experience with vulnerable and disadvantaged families within a strengths-based framework.
• Understanding of child development stages and milestones.
• Proven experience using a case management and coordination approach with families and stakeholders.
• Experience delivering parenting skills and/or relationship education programs.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based applications and CRM databases.
• Current driver’s license and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Criminal record check (less than 12 months old) and Working with Children check.
• Rights to work in Australia.
