Enterprise and Training Company on the Sunshine Coast invites a proactive Youth Engagement Advisor to connect 15-24 year olds with education, training and employment opportunities through the Transition to Work program.

You will foster partnerships with schools, youth services and community organisations across Maroochydore, Nambour, Caloundra and Noosaville, and drive participant registrations and referrals.

The Role - A Day in the Life of a Youth Engagement Advisor

As a Youth Engagement Advisor, you will play a vital role in connecting young people aged 15-24 years with the support they need to achieve their education, training, and employment goals through ETC's Transition to Work (TtW) program.

Working across our Sunshine Coast sites in Maroochydore, Nambour, Caloundra and Noosaville, you will build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organisations, youth services, training providers, and other key stakeholders to identify and engage eligible young people who may be disengaged from education, training, or employment.

This is a highly autonomous role that combines community engagement, stakeholder relationship management, and business development. You will actively promote the Transition to Work program throughout the region, creating referral pathways and generating participant registrations while contributing to the success of four collaborative site teams.

Your Key Responsibilities will include;

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, school-based support staff, youth services, community organisations, and other key referral partners across the Sunshine Coast.
• Promote ETC and the Transition to Work (TtW) program to increase awareness and generate referrals of eligible young people.
• Identify, develop and manage referral pathways that support participant registrations and program growth.
• Attend networking events, community forums, school events, and stakeholder meetings to strengthen community connections and referral opportunities.
• Coordinate and manage participant registrations (Group 2 sign-ups) in line with program guidelines.
• Monitor referral activities and performance against KPIs and participant commencement targets.
• Work independently to manage outreach activities while collaborating closely with site teams across Maroochydore, Nambour, Caloundra and Noosaville. (Pool car provided)
• Maintain accurate records and stakeholder engagement activities within internal systems

Criteria for Success

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with schools, community organisations, young people, and other stakeholders.
• Experience building and maintaining community partnerships, referral networks, or stakeholder relationships.
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for helping young people achieve positive outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a multi-site team environment.
• Experience working towards and achieving KPIs, targets, or performance outcomes.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, including a high level of computer literacy.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence and willingness to travel across the Sunshine Coast region.
• A current National Police Check and QLD Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
