Zusammenfassung

Perisher is seeking a Skitube Fitter to join the maintenance team in a year-round, full-time capacity. You will help keep the Skitube Alpine Railway operating safely and reliably, including inspecting and repairing rolling stock and rail infrastructure.

The role offers hands-on, technical challenges in a unique alpine environment with opportunities to develop expertise across rolling stock, track and mechanical equipment.

Qualifikationen

• Trade Certificate – Mechanical Fitter (essential).
• Experience as a qualified Mechanical Fitter.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Welding experience.
• High attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to undertake physical work, including heavy lifting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit team.
• Desirable: railway/rolling stock or rail maintenance experience.

Aufgaben

• Inspecting, maintaining and repairing rolling stock, rail infrastructure, plant and equipment.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults.
• Carrying out maintenance—scheduled and preventative.
• Welding, fitting, fabrication and modifications.
• Completing maintenance records and work orders.
• Supporting asset reliability and minimising downtime.
• Working a variable roster, including night shifts during winter.
• Following safety, environmental and operational procedures.
