Job summary

Charlotte Pass Snow Resort is seeking a skilled technician to inspect, maintain, test, fault-find and repair ropeway systems and associated mechanical infrastructure across the resort. Working within a remote alpine environment, you will support the safety, reliability and operational readiness of the lift network and mechanical assets during winter operations.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Tradesperson.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Current Driver Licence.
• Construction White Card.
• Ability to work safely at heights.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ropeway or ski lift maintenance experience highly regarded.
• Working at Heights certification highly regarded.
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair ski lifts and ropeway systems.
• Complete operational and technical lift inspections.
• Maintain grips, carriers, towers, sheaves, tensioning and braking systems.
• Assist with statutory inspections, component overhauls and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Fault-find and repair hydraulic, drive and mechanical systems.
• Undertake welding, fabrication and workshop activities.
• Assist with infrastructure maintenance projects.
• Participate in emergency response and lift evacuation procedures.

Job description

The role also supports broader resort maintenance activities, infrastructure projects, emergency response, and winter operations. Working within a remote alpine environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability and operational readiness of Charlotte Pass Snow Resort's lift network and mechanical assets.
