Job summary

Kingswood College in Victoria invites applications for the role of Year Level Coordinator in the Secondary School. You will lead the year level's culture, set high expectations for learning and wellbeing, and work with students, families, teachers and wellbeing professionals to support growth.

The role requires an experienced teacher with leadership capabilities and strong relational skills, organisation, and commitment to developing your leadership practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education is required (or equivalent) and current VIT registration.
• Experienced secondary classroom teacher and emerging or established leader.
• Strong relational, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to balance curriculum delivery with coordination duties.

Responsibilities

TheOpportunity

We are looking for anexperienced, student focused educator to join our Secondary School team as YearLevel Coordinator. This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished teacher andleader who understands that students do their best academic work when they feelknown, supported and genuinely challenged. As Year Level Coordinator, you'lltake the lead on your year level's culture, setting high expectations for bothlearning and wellbeing, and working closely with students, families, teachersand wellbeing professionals to help every student grow academically, sociallyand emotionally.

KeyResponsibilities

Working closely with the DeputyHead of Secondary School – Student Experience, the Head of Secondary School andthe broader Secondary School Leadership team, you will:

• Lead your year level's pastoral care andwellbeing initiatives, while championing a culture of high academicexpectation and achievement.
• Build strong, trusted relationships withstudents, maintaining a visible presence that helps drive engagement inand out of the classroom.
• Track student wellbeing, engagement,behaviour, attendance and academic achievement, stepping in early andconfidently when challenges emerge.
• Partner with families, teachers,Counsellors and other College staff to support individual students'academic and personal growth.
• Lead and mentor Wellbeing Mentors,reinforcing consistent academic and behavioural expectations across theyear level.
• Champion student voice and celebrate achievementsacross the year level, encouraging students to take ownership of theirlearning and contribute to College life.
• Lead year level meetings, assemblies,transition programs and events that build connection, belonging and ashared commitment to bold expectations.
• Support the delivery of curriculum andCollege initiatives, helping translate strategy into strong outcomes atthe year-level.
• Model the College Values and contributeto a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuousimprovement.

About you

You will bean experienced teacher and emerging or established leader who combines strongrelational skills with sound judgement, organisation and follow through. You’llbring:

• Confidence navigating complex pastoraland wellbeing challenges without losing sight of learning outcomes.
• A strong reputation as an outstandingclassroom teacher at the secondary level.
• Excellent relationship building andcommunication skills, with the ability to engage authentically andnavigate sensitive conversations with students, families and colleagues.
• A collaborative and accountable approach,you’re someone who loves working with others while taking ownership ofresponsibilities and outcomes.
• Sharp organisation and time managementskills, with a demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities andmeet deadlines without dropping the ball.
• Openness to feedback and coaching, and agenuine commitment to developing your own leadership practice.
• The ability to balance strong curriculumdelivery with the demands of a coordination role.
• A Bachelor of Education (or equivalent)and current VIT registration.
