Job summary

Berwick College, part of the Department of Education Victoria, is seeking a Learning Leader to drive school improvement as a member of the Leadership Team. The role focuses on implementing key improvement strategies, building teacher capacity, and embedding data-informed practices to enhance curriculum and student learning outcomes.

The Learning Leader will work within the Berwick College Leadership Team to advance the School Strategic Plan, support wellbeing, and foster inclusive practices

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
• SC2: Demonstrated ability to lead the planning and implementation of high impact teaching strategies.
• SC3: Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning using data.
• SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills for collaboration.
• SC5: Demonstrated ability to model department values and lead professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage initiatives related to the School Strategic Plan.
• Build teacher capacity and collaboration in curriculum and assessment design.
• Embed data use to tailor learning and provide feedback.
• Lead transition processes into and through the school.
• Support wellbeing and inclusive practices across classrooms.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement Victorian Curriculum 2.0 at Year 8.
