Job summary

anzuk is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a high-performing, unique trade school in North Brisbane. This permanent, full-time role teaches Year 10 Science, with a start in Term 4, 2026.

The successful candidate will help develop and refine the Year 10 Science curriculum for 2027, collaborating with colleagues to create an engaging program that aligns with the Australian Curriculum and vocational pathways.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
• Experience teaching Science at junior secondary level, particularly Year 10.
• Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary science teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Year 10 Science lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Contribute to the development and planning of the Year 10 Science curriculum for 2027.
• Create learning experiences that connect Science to vocational interests and future career pathways.
• Support students of varying abilities in a practical, inclusive and student-centred learning environment.
• Develop students’ scientific knowledge, inquiry skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Assess and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives.
• Actively contribute to the school community through events, activities and relationship building.
