Responsibilities

• Move trucks, trailers, plant and equipment within the yard and to other sites.
• Transport vehicles to/from suppliers, customer sites, and inspection locations.
• Maintain yard organisation, cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Support other staff with general operational duties.
• Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment when required.
• Fit and repair tyres on trucks.
• Work as a safety-focused, productive team member.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with standards.

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on yardperson to join our team at our Centra Park Street site in Macksville. This is a key role supporting our sales and operations to ensure everything runs smoothly day-to-day.

This position offers variety, working across truck movements, yard operations, tyre fitting, and general support duties within a supportive team environment.

About the Role

As a yardperson you will play a critical role in supporting sales by:

• Moving trucks, trailers, plant, and equipment throughout the yard and other sites
• Transporting vehicles to and from suppliers, customer sites, and inspection locations
• Assisting with yard organisation, cleanliness, and housekeeping
• Supporting other staff with general operational duties
• Conducting basic vehicle inspections and reporting defects
• Assisting with loading and unloading equipment when required
• Fitting and repairing tyres on trucks
• Contributing as a key member of a productive and safety-focused team
• Following safety procedures and maintaining compliance standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience, or willing to learn, operating trucks and/or mobile plant equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workshop and yard environment
• Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to undertake manual handling and general labouring tasks when required
• Good communication skills and a positive approach to work
• Fit/healthy
• Current HR Licence
• Experience within transport, logistics, heavy vehicle, or heavy industry environments
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude
