Job summary

KMH, a subsidiary of SSH Group, is seeking a reliable yardsman/driver to join our Karratha-based team. You will be responsible for keeping plant and equipment clean, maintained and ready for hire, while transporting equipment and supporting yard operations.

The role offers a full-time permanent position with a flat hourly rate plus 12% superannuation and a remote housing allowance. Based in Karratha, you’ll work Monday to Friday and have opportunities to develop skills across yard, fleet and

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a yard, driver, service or similar hands-on role.
• Experience with vehicles, plant or equipment in a yard environment.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and confidence using hand and power tools.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment and ensure yard and vehicles are kept clean and organized.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs as required.

At KMH we specialise in safely delivering quality mobile plant, earthmoving equipment, trailers, and mine‑site compliant vehicles to support construction, civil, and mining projects state-wide. We take pride in ensuring our assets are clean, well‑maintained, and delivered efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

About The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment is clean, maintained, organised and ready for hire. You’ll also play an important role in transporting equipment, assisting with maintenance and repairs, supporting customers and helping keep the day‑to‑day yard operations running efficiently.

What You’ll Require

• Current Australian C Class driver's licence - essential
• Current Australian HR Licence - essential
• HC or MC licence - highly desirable
• White Card / Construction Card
• 2+ years’ experience in a yard, driver, service or similar hands‑on role
• Experience with vehicles, plant or equipment in a yard environment
• Basic mechanical knowledge and confidence using hand and power tools
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices
• Good organisation, communication and problem‑solving skills
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to undertake physical, hands‑on work
