Job summary

KMH is seeking a reliable Yard & Fleet Assistant to join our Belmont-based team, supporting vehicle preparation for construction, civil and mining projects. You’ll keep the yard safe, assist with fleet maintenance, and manage stock and records.

The role suits practical individuals with a current Australian driver’s licence, safety awareness, and a readiness for hands-on work; immediate start available at Belmont, WA.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Forklift / High Risk Work Licence highly desirable.
• HR/HC/MC licences desirable.
• Experience in yard, warehouse, workshop or light vehicle/fleet environment.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and confidence using hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform vehicle checks and minor maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to undertake physical work.
• Reliable, organised and proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean and detail light vehicles to site and company standards.
• Prepare vehicles for mobilisation, on-hire and off-hire.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report defects, damage or maintenance needs.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance, fluid checks and minor repairs.
• Refuel vehicles and complete routine fleet checks.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard, warehouse and washdown area.
• Assist with stock control, parts, tools and consumables.
• Deliver and collect vehicles, parts and equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate fleet, maintenance and inspection records.
