Job summary

The Criterion Hotel in Rockhampton is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep car parks, driveways and outdoor areas clean and safe. You will remove rubbish, pressure-wash surfaces, replace light bulbs, and perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operations.

You will assist with air-conditioning maintenance, minor plumbing, painting and repairs, report maintenance issues, and help with tool storage and linen handling. Safety and independent work are important in this role.

Responsibilities

• Keep car parks, driveways and outdoor areas clean and tidy
• Remove rubbish and maintain waste areas
• Pressure wash and clean outdoor surfaces
• Change light bulbs and carry out basic maintenance tasks
• Clean and maintain air-conditioning units and filters
• Replace tap washers and carry out minor plumbing maintenance
• Assist with general maintenance, painting and repairs
• Check and report maintenance issues
• Maintain tools, equipment and storage areas
• Assist with receiving, storing and distributing linen
