Job summary

Toll Group is seeking a proactive Yard Truck Driver / Preloader in Sydney to support transport operations at an MHF handling Dangerous Goods. You will preload freight, secure loads, and prepare paperwork so drivers depart on time each morning.

Key duties include forklift loading, yard prime mover operations, occasional local deliveries and safety-focused procedures. Training is provided for DG/MHF requirements.

Qualifications

• Current LF Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain)
• Current HC or MC Driver's Licence
• Experience with freight handling, load restraint and warehouse operations
• Experience handling Dangerous Goods is highly regarded
• Knowledge of Major Hazard Facility safety requirements a plus

Responsibilities

• Load and secure freight with a forklift onto delivery vehicles following load restraint guidelines and DG requirements
• Operate a prime mover within the yard, including safe trailer coupling/uncoupling
• Occasional local deliveries as required
• Complete loading records and ensure paperwork is ready for drivers
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles, freight and restraints for safety and compliance
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings and site safety initiatives
• Perform general storeperson/warehouse duties when not preloading
• Follow directions from Warehouse Team Leaders to allocate tasks efficiently
