Green Timber Technology (GTT) in Orange, NSW, is seeking a hands-on Forklift Operator to keep our yard and factory flowing. You will load, unload and move timber and finished products by forklift, receive deliveries, check against dockets and prepare outgoing orders for dispatch.

• Loading, unloading and moving timber, materials and finished product around the factory and yard by forklift.
• Receiving deliveries, checking against delivery dockets and flagging damage or shortfalls.
• Picking, staging and loading outgoing orders for dispatch.
• Keeping the yard tidy and organised, including stacking materials and keeping truck access clear.
• Ensuring stock stored outdoors is covered and protected from the weather.
• Doing pre-start checks on forklift and reporting any issues.
• Helping with stocktakes and maintaining basic records.

You'll be the person who keeps our yard and factory flowing. Day to day, you'll be loading, unloading and moving timber, materials and finished product around the factory and yard by forklift, receiving deliveries and checking them against delivery dockets, picking and staging outgoing orders for dispatch, keeping the yard tidy and organised, making sure stock stored outdoors is covered and protected from the weather, doing pre‑start checks on your forklift and reporting any issues, and helping with stocktakes and keeping basic records up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Loading, unloading and moving timber, materials and finished product around the factory and yard by forklift
• Receiving deliveries, checking them against delivery dockets and flagging any damage or shortfalls
• Picking, staging and loading outgoing orders for dispatch
• Keeping the yard tidy and organised, including stacking materials, managing pallets and bins, and keeping truck access clear
• Making sure stock stored outdoors is covered and protected from the weather
• Doing pre‑start checks on your forklift and reporting any issues
• Helping with stocktakes and keeping basic records up to date

About you

• A current LF (forklift) high risk work licence (essential)
• 1 to 3 years forklift experience in a factory, warehouse or yard environment
• A good eye for safety and a tidy, organised approach to work
• Reliability and punctuality, and the ability to work on your own or as part of a team
• Comfort with physical, hands‑on work
• Clear communication with drivers, the production team and supervisors
• Truck loading experience, including load restraint, strapping and chaining (nice to have)
• A current first aid certificate (nice to have)
