Job summary

Ausco Modular is seeking a hands-on Yard & General Maintenance Technician at our Darwin branch to ensure hire units are maintained and ready for hire. You will perform routine upkeep, cleaning, and minor repairs, while keeping the fleet in top condition.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll handle forklift tasks, site preparation, and simple paperwork. This permanent full-time role runs Mon-Fri, 7am–3:30pm, with company benefits and STIP.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Licence (High Risk)
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Experience using tools and carrying out general maintenance or repairs
• Practical, problem-solving mindset
• Good attention to detail and work ethic
• Basic computer skills for simple reporting

Responsibilities

• Operating forklifts to move and position buildings and materials
• Getting hire units ready – cleaning, prepping, and packing for transport
• Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep
• Inspecting returned equipment and identifying any issues
• Using hand and power tools for day-to-day maintenance tasks
• Assisting with stocktakes and keeping the yard organised
• Completing simple paperwork and recording asset movements

About the Role:

We’re on the lookout for a hands‑on Yard & General Maintenance Technician to join our Darwin branch.

If you enjoy practical work, fixing things, and a variety of day‑to‑day tasks, this role is for you.
