Job summary

Ausco Modular is seeking a hands‑on Yard Hand (Operations Technician) in our Karratha branch. You will maintain fleets of modular buildings, prepare units for hire or transport, and perform routine upkeep to ensure equipment is hire‑ready and returned in top condition.

You will report to the Operations Supervisor, using basic reporting skills and tools. The role runs 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a practical, problem‑solving mindset and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• A current Forklift Licence (High Risks) or willingness to obtain
• A current Driver’s Licence
• Experience using tools and carrying out general maintenance or repairs
• A practical, problem‑solving mindset
• Good attention to detail and work ethic
• Basic computer skills for simple reporting

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move and position buildings and materials
• Get hire units ready – cleaning, prepping, and packing for transport
• Carry out basic repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep
• Inspect returned equipment and identify issues
• Use hand and power tools for day‑to‑day maintenance tasks
• Assist with stocktakes and keep the yard organised
• Complete simple paperwork and record asset movements
