Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking an Operations Lead to support Australia’s defence mission, lead teams, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver mission objectives. The role focuses on mission setup, execution, and management ensuring safe and efficient service delivery.

The candidate will engage with customers and internal teams, manage competing priorities, and uphold high standards of communication and organisation in a dynamic defence environment.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Program Management, Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Proven high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires broad knowledge of Test Range Mission System Equipment and other Defence assets.
• Desirable - experience in solution and proposal development, including the financial and commercial aspects of a proposal.
• Desirable - prior experience on Defence sustainment support contracts.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 Security clearance.

• Assist in the development, review and update of operations plans, processes, procedures, and enablers.

This exciting and challenging role requires effective engagement with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes. In this role, the Operations Lead works closely with the Operations Manager, the customer, and key stakeholders to achieve trial, or program objectives. This includes contributing to mission setup, supporting mission execution, and assisting in overall mission management to ensure efficient, safe and effective delivery. The role demands strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities while ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project objectives.
