Job summary

QE Innovations Pty Ltd, based in Port Kembla, NSW, is seeking a First Class Welder with at least 5 years in heavy industry to join the team. You will gouge worn components from the parent structure and weld up to 100mm plate, including dissimilar metals with multiple passes.

The role is full-time with a minimum 38-hour week, located in our workshop. Valid Australian work rights are required; visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience welding in heavy industry.
• Gouging worn components from the parent structure.
• Welding components of dissimilar metals with multiple runs up to 100mm plate.
• Must hold Workcover welding class 1, 1E, 3, 7, 8.

Responsibilities

• Perform gouging and welding tasks on large, heavy industry components.
• Weld up to 100mm plate and join dissimilar metals with multiple runs.
• Maintain high quality welding standards in a safe workshop environment.
• Work as part of a team in QE Innovations’ Port Kembla workshop.

QE Innovations is an Australian owned and operated business that designs, supplies and manufactures niche products to mining and heavy industries. We exclusively represent equipment known for its outstanding quality and reliability, such as Hauhinco, THIELE, Gruenewald, EEP, Betek and Parker Conflow.

Due to growth in our business we looking for an experienced welder to join our team. Work will consist of gouging worn components from the parent structure, welding of up to 100mm plate and welding components of dissimilar metals with multiple runs. Purpose built lifting, exhaust and rotary equipment is available to ensure high quality welding practices are maintained in a supportive and safe work environment. Must be a First Class Welder with Workcover welding class 1, 1E, 3, 7, 8. Minimum 5 years experience welding in heavy industry required. Position is full time with minimum 38 hour week.

You will be based in our workshop in Port Kembla NSW.

This role is available for immediate start.
