Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Appliances in Brisbane is seeking a Workshop Technician to diagnose, repair, and test domestic appliances in our service workshop. You will work with premium products to ensure customers receive reliable, high-quality repairs.

You will use technical manuals, schematics and service documentation, maintain safety and quality, and collaborate with experienced technicians to deliver an exceptional end-to-end customer experience.

Qualifications

• Queensland Restricted electrical licence is required.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing appliances/electronics.
• Ability to read/interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and service docs.
• Strong problem-solving with a methodical fault-finding approach.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and digital service systems.
• Collaborative yet able to work independently and manage priorities.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Based in our workshop in Brisbane,you'llplayan important rolein diagnosing, repairing, and testing Fisher & Paykel appliances to ensure they are returned to customers inoptimalworkingcondition.You'llwork with a range of premium products,utiliseyour technicalexpertiseto solve complex problems, and contribute to delivering an exceptional end-to-end customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnose, evaluate, repair, and test domestic appliances, ensuring high-quality repairs and reliable product performance.
• Determine appropriate repair solutions and prepare accurate repair assessments and quotations for customers.
• Complete service documentation, customer records, repair reports, and other administrative requirements accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory, spare parts, and workshop resources to support efficient operations andtimelyrepair turnaround.
• Support customers and internal teams by providing technicalexpertiseand delivering exceptional service outcomes.
• Continuously develop your technicalexpertisethrough ongoing training, service manuals, and hands-on learning opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements, ensuring all work is completed safely andin accordance withcompany policies and procedures.
