WesTrac in Tomago, NSW, is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the New Machines Workshop onsite, focusing on safety, quality, productivity and team performance while ensuring Caterpillar equipment is assembled to the highest standards.

In this leadership role, you will oversee daily workshop operations, coordinate resources and workflow, and ensure build schedules and customer commitments are achieved.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading teams within a workshop, maintenance, manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
• Strong understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental practices.
• Proven ability to coordinate resources, schedules and operational priorities.
• Sound problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience driving performance, continuous improvement and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop workshop employees to achieve operational objectives.
• Coordinate daily workflow, labour allocation and resource planning.
• Monitor workshop performance against safety, quality and productivity targets.
• Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues to minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action programs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and HSE requirements.

WesTrac is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to lead our New Machines Workshop onsite atTomago , driving safety, quality, productivity and team performance while ensuring new Caterpillar equipment is assembled, commissioned and delivered to the highest standards. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily workshop operations, coordinate resources and workflow, and ensure build schedules and customer commitments are achieved.

Working closely with technicians and operational leaders, you will develop and support a high-performing team while fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional operational and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
