Job summary

Force Equipment Pty in Kalgoorlie is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead a team in our Kalgoorlie workshop. You will drive safety, productivity, and quality, overseeing daily operations and ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.

The role emphasises strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to mentor and develop staff in a high-demand mining environment. Kalgoorlie-based position with a local roster and competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy workshop and field maintenance.
• Proven ability to recruit, motivate and manage a team.
• Strong safety mindset with hazard identification and mitigation.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage zero hour rebuilds on surface and underground equipment, delivered on time and within budget.
• Plan and coordinate day-to-day tasks for the workforce.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance safely and accurately, with up-to-date records.

Core Responsibilities

• Managing zero hour rebuilds on surface and underground equipment, delivered on time and within budget
• Planning and coordinating day-to-day tasks for the workforce
• Conducting inspections and maintenance safely and efficiently, ensuring all records and reports are accurate and up to date
• Implementing and verifying safety control measures to mitigate operational risks
• Leading daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, and task-based risk assessments
• Coaching, mentoring, and motivating your team to achieve high standards of workmanship and safety

What we need from you

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy workshop and field maintenance, with supervisory experience.
• Strong leader with a proven ability to recruit, motivate, and manage a team.
• Focused on safety, able to identify risks and take action to reduce hazards.
