WesTrac's South Guildford Component Rebuild Centre is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to specialise in CAT engine components, rebuilds, and OEM-compliant restoration. You will support mining and construction equipment and help keep engines performing at their best in a safety-first workshop.

Join a team that values knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous development, with a 5 days on, 2 days off roster and 10-hour shifts, delivering high-quality workmanship across demanding

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience rebuilding engines, overhauls, or major repairs.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, assess, and assemble CAT engine components to OEM specifications.
• Diagnose faults and identify repair requirements.
• Work with advanced Caterpillar systems, tooling, and technology.
• Maintain accurate service reports and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with a highly skilled team in a safety-focused workshop environment.
• Deliver quality workmanship aligned to WesTrac's SPARC Values.

Join WesTrac's Engine Components team at our South Guildford Component Rebuild Centre and become a specialist in rebuilding and restoring the critical components that keep Caterpillar engines performing at their best. Working on engine components, you'll play an important role in supporting the mining, construction, and infrastructure industries that power Australia.

Roster

5 Days On, 2 Days Off

• 10-hour shifts

What You'll Be Doing

• Disassemble, inspect, assess, and assemble CAT engine components to OEM specifications
• Diagnose faults and identify repair requirements
• Work with advanced Caterpillar systems, tooling, and technology
• Maintain accurate service reports and technical documentation
