Geelong Smash Repairs is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager / Estimator to lead day-to-day workshop operations and parts management in Geelong. You will support trades, assist with estimating and quoting, and work closely with management to keep repairs progressing smoothly.

Applicants should have automotive smash repair experience, be skilled at estimating, and comfortable using iBodyshop, Audanet and Parts Check. A strong, hands-on, team‑oriented approach is essential.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager / Estimator to join the Geelong Smash Repairs team.

This is a hands‑on role that will involve overseeing the day‑to‑day workshop operations, managing parts and deliveries, supporting our tradespeople and working closely with the Manager to keep repairs progressing smoothly.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Leading and supporting the workshop team to ensure jobs are progressing efficiently and to a high standard.

Managing parts ordering, receiving, checking, allocation and delivery to ensure the right parts are available when required.

Working closely with the tradespeople to understand what they need to complete repairs

Monitoring vehicles throughout the repair process and helping keep jobs moving through the workshop.

Assisting with estimating and quoting when required, particularly during busy periods.

Working alongside the Manager with estimating and repair planning.

Communicating with suppliers, assessors, insurers and other relevant parties when required.

Helping maintain a clean, organised and productive workshop environment.

Supporting the team with problem‑solving and day‑to‑day decisions to keep repairs on track.

Ensuring work is completed efficiently while maintaining our standards for quality and customer service.

The Person We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has automotive smash repair experience and understands how a busy panel shop operates.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in a Workshop Manager, Workshop Foreman, Estimator or senior smash repair role.

Experience in using required systems such as iBodyshop, Audanet, and Parts Check

Good communication and organisational skills to coordinate and manage sublet repairs, external suppliers and vehicle tows.

Strong knowledge of the collision repair process.

Good understanding of parts, ordering and supplier management.

The ability to communicate well with tradespeople and understand what they need to complete their work.

Estimating experience or a willingness to assist with estimating and quoting.

Strong organisation and time‑management skills.

The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Good communication skills and a practical, hands‑on approach.

A team‑focused attitude and the ability to work alongside management.
