Job summary

Willowdale Rural in Deloraine, TAS is seeking a Workshop Foreman to lead day-to-day workshop operations on-site. You will plan schedules, allocate tasks, and supervise workshop staff while coordinating the fabrication and assembly of livestock equipment to meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

You will monitor equipment use, organize maintenance, manage stock of materials and tools, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills and team leadership.
• Experience with equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and safety procedures.
• Effective communication for coordinating with team, management, and stakeholders; fabrication skills in metal fabrication.
• General maintenance skills for tools, machinery, and workshop facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
• Prior experience in workshop, manufacturing, or agricultural setting is advantageous.

Role Description

The Workshop Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based at Deloraine, TAS. This position oversees day-to-day workshop operations, including planning work schedules, allocating tasks, and supervising workshop staff. The role involves coordinating the fabrication, and assembly of livestock equipment, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The Workshop Foreman is responsible for monitoring equipment use, organizing maintenance activities, managing inventory of materials and tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The role also includes communicating with management and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
