Job summary

KC Equipment is seeking a Workshop Foreman to lead the day-to-day workshop operations, coordinating technicians and aligning with customers, Sales and Parts to ensure jobs are planned and completed safely and efficiently. You will conduct servicing and diagnostics, and may attend field-service calls when required.

You must have a qualified Diesel/Plant mechanic background with supervisory experience, excellent workshop planning skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel / Plant Mechanic with leadership experience is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, job planning and workflow.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety standards.

• Assist with machinery repairs and field-service work when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workshop.
• Promote safe work practices and a high standard of workmanship.

Job description

As our Workshop Foreman, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and workflow of our workshop, supporting technicians and working closely with customers, Sales and Parts to ensure jobs are planned, prioritised and completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll also carry out servicing, repairs and diagnostics in the workshop, as well as attend field jobs and customer breakdowns when required.

You’ll work with leading brands including Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Iseki, Kioti, Deutz and Cub Cadet.

What You’ll Bring

• Qualified Diesel / Plant Mechanic with experience in agricultural, plant, turf or similar machinery will be highly regarded
• Previous workshop leadership or supervisory experience a must
• Good understanding of workshop operations, job planning and workflow
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with a team-focused approach
• Ability to provide direction and support to technicians and apprentices
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and professional workmanship
• Current C Class Driver Licence and satisfactory driving record
• Current Forklift Licence, or willingness to obtain one
