Job summary

Major Electrical is seeking a Workshop Electrician to join the Mackay team at the Paget workshop. You will repair and overhaul electrical equipment for underground and surface mining, contributing to safety and quality in a dynamic mining environment.

The role offers on-the-job training, opportunities for overtime, and a 9 day fortnight roster to support work-life balance. Applicants should have a QLD Electrical License, QLD Driver's License, and LVR/CPR where possible.

Qualifications

• Hold a QLD Electrical Licence.
• Hold a QLD Driver's Licence.
• LVR/CPR certification is desirable.
• Experience with underground mining equipment and switchboard manufacture is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul electrical equipment for mining operations in a workshop setting.
• Assist in design and manufacture of equipment for underground and surface mining.
• Work from the Paget workshop in Mackay and contribute to safe, high-quality workmanship.
