Job summary

ITR Pacific Pty Ltd is seeking a Workshop Assistant for our Yatala, Queensland workshop. You will assist in Dozer and Excavator track assembly and disassembly, work 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.

The role requires motivation, reliability and a keen eye for detail in a busy workshop environment. You will join a supportive team and contribute to refurbishing earthmoving undercarriage components while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence required.
• Basic welding skills beneficial.
• Ability to use oxy-acetylene torch is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced workshop.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Job description

The Role

We are looking for a Workshop Assistant to assist in Dozer and Excavator Track Assembly and Disassembly at our workshop in Yatala, Queensland.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, punctual, and have an eye for detail. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive package with occasional overtime. Workshop hours are 7.00 am till 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Tasks and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Operate heavy machinery and tooling including angle grinders, impact and hydraulic torque wrenches and presses.

Follow safe work procedures and guidelines at all times

Work cohesively as part of a team to complete projects in a timely manner

Repair and refurbish earthmoving undercarriage components

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop

Qualifications:

A current forklift licence is required for this role

The ability to use an oxy-acetylene cutting torch would be beneficial

Basic welding skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in earthmoving undercarriage repairs is highly desirable

A valid driver's license
