Job summary

The Shire of Campaspe is seeking a Works Team member to support the maintenance and construction of roads, drainage, footpaths, bridges and other assets. You will work closely with Works Plant Operators and team members to deliver safe, efficient projects.

Key requirements include a Construction Induction Card, a valid Driver's Licence, and a willingness to learn; pre-employment checks apply. The role offers a 9-day fortnight and salary-sacrifice options.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop skills in asset maintenance.
• White Card and valid driver's licence are required.
• Working with Children Check and police check may be required.
• Pre-employment medical assessment is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance, construction and rehabilitation of roads and drainage.
• Assist with footpaths, bridges, signage and bridge inspections as needed.
• Complete tasks to quality, safety, timeliness and cost standards.
• Support Plant Operators to deliver programs safely and efficiently.

Remuneration: $69,288.44 to $70,624.41 per annum + superannuation & leave loading

As a member of the Works Team, the Works Employee supports the maintenance and construction of Council's roads, drainage, footpaths, bridges, and other infrastructure assets. Working closely with Works Plant Operators and other team members.

About the Role

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the maintenance, construction and rehabilitation of Council sealed and unsealed road repairs, drainage infrastructure and related assets.
• Assist with and undertake maintenance works on Council's footpaths, bridges, signage assets, and bridge inspection activities as required.
• Complete assigned tasks to required standards of quality, safety, timeliness and cost effectiveness.
• Support Works Plant Operators and other team members to deliver maintenance and construction programs in a safe and efficient manner.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Willingness to learn and develop skills in the maintenance of Council assets.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• A valid Driver's Licence.
• A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
• Satisfactory National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
