Job summary

Metro Trains Melbourne is seeking a Workplace Relations Manager to lead complex and sensitive employee relations work from its Docklands office. You will deliver strategies, investigations, reporting, and risk management across the People Division and operational leaders, with hybrid work options available.

You will apply deep employment law knowledge, case management skills, and strong stakeholder partnering to support leaders in a busy, unionised environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing workplace relations issues in highly unionised environments.
• Experience investigating complex and sensitive workplace complaints.
• Deep knowledge of employment law and related risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end internal complaints process in line with procedures.
• Prepare workplace relations reporting and analytics with insights.
• Provide advice, dispute resolution, and complex case management support.
• Develop policies, procedures, training and resources for risk management.
• Build relationships across divisions, unions and stakeholders; represent MTM before tribunals.
