Job summary

Cater Care is seeking an experienced Workplace Relations Advisor to join our team across Australian operations. This permanent part-time role (approx. 28 hours per week) offers hybrid work and flexible hours, with potential to grow into a full-time position.

You'll partner with leaders to navigate performance matters, investigations, grievances and industrial instruments, and you'll review ER/IR policies to strengthen our people practices. This is a role that balances expertise with flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a Workplace Relations, Employee Relations or Industrial Relations Advisor role.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience interpreting the Fair Work Act and industrial instruments.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, including witness interviews, evidence assessment and report writing.
• Ability to develop, review and implement ER/IR policies and procedures.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to partner with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to balance competing priorities without losing sight of the detail.
• Commercially minded, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to manage sensitive matters.
• Willingness to learn and grow in Workplace Relations expertise and advocacy.
• Tertiary qualification in HR/IR preferred, but not essential.

• Interpret and provide advice on the Fair Work Act, employment contracts and industrial instruments.
• Plan and conduct workplace investigations, including developing evidence plans and interviewing witnesses.
• Review and continuously improve ER/IR policies, procedures and practices.
• Contribute to broader Workplace Relations initiatives that strengthen people practices.
• Represent Cater Care in the Fair Work and EEO Commissions when required.

Cater Care is looking for an experienced Workplace Relations Advisor to join our team and partner with leaders across our diverse Australian business. This is a permanent part-time opportunity of approximately 28 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time position. With hybrid working and flexible hours, this is a role designed to make your expertise work for both the business and your life.

More than an advisory role

Working closely with our Group Workplace Relations Manager, you'll provide practical, commercially focused advice across a broad range of workplace relations matters.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Provide practical advice to leaders on performance, disciplinary, behavioural and conduct matters.
• Support leaders to navigate grievances, employee concerns and sensitive workplace issues.
• Interpret and provide advice on the Fair Work Act, employment contracts and industrial instruments.
• Plan and conduct workplace investigations, including developing evidence plans, interviewing witnesses, assessing information and preparing clear, well-reasoned findings reports.
• Review and continuously improve our ER/IR policies, procedures and practices.
• Contribute to broader Workplace Relations initiatives that strengthen our people practices and make a meaningful difference across the business.
• Continue developing your advocacy skills, including opportunities to represent Cater Care in the Fair Work and EEO Commissions.

We're looking for someone who

You'll bring:

• A genuine appetite to learn, take on new challenges and continue developing your Workplace Relations expertise and advocacy skills.
• A tertiary qualification in HR/IR is preferred, but not essential.
