Job summary

Cater Care is seeking an experienced Workplace Relations Advisor to join our team across Australian operations. This permanent part-time role (approx. 28 hours per week) offers hybrid work and flexible hours, with potential to grow into a full-time position.

You'll partner with leaders to navigate performance matters, investigations, grievances and industrial instruments, and you'll review ER/IR policies to strengthen our people practices. This is a role that balances expertise with flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a Workplace Relations, Employee Relations or Industrial Relations Advisor role.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience interpreting the Fair Work Act and industrial instruments.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, including witness interviews, evidence assessment and report writing.
• Ability to develop, review and implement ER/IR policies and procedures.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to partner with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to balance competing priorities without losing sight of the detail.
• Commercially minded, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to manage sensitive matters.
• Willingness to learn and grow in Workplace Relations expertise and advocacy.
• Tertiary qualification in HR/IR preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, commercially focused advice across a broad range of workplace relations matters.
• Provide practical advice to leaders on performance, disciplinary, behavioural and conduct matters.
• Support leaders to navigate grievances, employee concerns and sensitive workplace issues.
• Interpret and provide advice on the Fair Work Act, employment contracts and industrial instruments.
• Plan and conduct workplace investigations, including developing evidence plans and interviewing witnesses.
• Review and continuously improve ER/IR policies, procedures and practices.
• Contribute to broader Workplace Relations initiatives that strengthen people practices.
• Represent Cater Care in the Fair Work and EEO Commissions when required.
