We provide culturally safe health and community services across Western Sydney, Penrith, Nepean, and Blue Mountains.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Workplace Health & Safety Business Partner to lead and strengthen our workplace health and safety framework while fostering a positive, proactive and culturally safe safety culture across the organisation.
Reporting to the Executive Manager People & Culture, this role plays a key strategic and operational function in managing workplace health and safety across multiple sites. You will partner closely with leaders and employees to manage risks, improve safety outcomes, ensure legislative compliance, and promote wellbeing throughout the organisation.
WHS compliance, governance and risk management
Incident investigation and corrective actions
Injury management and return-to-work coordination
Psychosocial health and workplace wellbeing initiatives
WHS training, coaching and capability development
Contractor and emergency management
Safety reporting and continuous improvement initiative
You will be a proactive WHS professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a practical approach to safety leadership.
Diploma or higher qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years WHS experience in a multi-site operational environment
Strong knowledge of NSW Work Health and Safety legislation
Experience in incident investigations, risk management and WHS systems
Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal communities and organisations
Current NSW Driver Licence
Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Experience in healthcare, community services or not-for-profit organisations
Return to Work Coordination experience
Experience with quality and incident management systems
Confirmation of Aboriginality
Mental Health First Aid or relevant WHS certifications
