Job summary

Amazon Australia is recruiting WHS Coordinators to join the Fulfillment Center (FC) team. Based at Kemps Creek or Horsley Park, these hourly roles report to the WHS Manager and involve delivering high safety standards within the FC.

The role includes training in standard work, strong communication, teamwork, and proactive safety engagement across the FC workforce. WHS Coordinators will handle inspections, incident investigations, and safety audits, with shift options including day or night

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Bachelor's in Safety related field or Cert IV in WHS.
• Experience in logistics is preferred.
• Experience in data analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inform management of safety issues, risks and improvements through inspections.
• Facilitate incident investigation process.
• Maintain paperwork to comply with Amazon and local regulations.
• Enter Safety incident information in internal database.
• Perform safety observations & audits.
• Coach others to complete safety responsibilities.
• May oversee fire prevention or hazardous waste management.
• Participate in process improvement activities and drive actions to completion.

We currently have multiple vacancies for Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinators to join the Amazon Australia Team. This position is within the Fulfillment Center (FC), reporting into the WHS Manager. It requires working with the WHS team to deliver high standards of safety within our FC. The suitable applicant will be trained in both the standard work and tools used within the WHS function. You will be a strong communicator, who values teamwork, is proactive about safety and who can function as a role model and engage in a professional manner with the entire Fulfillment Center (FC) workforce.

These opportunities will be based on the following locations: Kemps Creek and Horsley Park.

This is an hourly role based on shift patterns. Work schedule can either be day or night shift and may rotate shifts based on business need.

Key job responsibilities

• Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
• Facilitate incident investigation process
• Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and local regulations
• Enter Safety incident information in internal database in a timely manner
• Perform safety observations & audits
• Coach others (Area Managers etc.) to complete their safety responsibilities (Audits, Follow Safety Rules, Inspections etc.)
• May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety related activities depending on the business unit and location
• Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion

Basic Qualifications
