Job summary

Kmart in Melbourne is seeking a Workforce Optimisation Lead to join our Customer & Team Member Experience team. You’ll drive labour efficiency, modelling, and data-led improvements across our store network to deliver better outcomes for customers and team members.

The successful candidate has strong analytics, Excel skills, and experience with workforce management systems, delivering practical, scalable solutions in a large retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce planning, workforce optimisation, analytics, operations or a related field.
• Experience within retail or other customer-facing operational environments and an understanding of store operations will be highly regarded.
• Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets to identify trends, opportunities and actionable insights.
• Exposure to labour modelling, scheduling, productivity analysis or workforce management practices.
• Advanced Excel capabilities and the ability to develop models that support decision-making and business outcomes.
• Experience using workforce management systems such as UKG Pro Workforce Management or similar platforms will be highly regarded.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance detailed analysis with practical, scalable solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into meaningful recommendations.
• Experience supporting operational improvement, productivity or optimisation initiatives within large and complex environments.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Workforce Optimisation Lead to join our Customer & Team Member Experience team and help drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement across Kmart's store network.

Using data, analysis and scenario modelling, you'll identify opportunities to improve workforce performance and help ensure our stores are set up to deliver great outcomes for both customers and team members.

What you’ll be doing
