Job summary

Nine’s People Transformation team is seeking a Workday Functional Analyst on a 6‑month contract to support the Workday integration of a major acquisition into Nine’s platform. You’ll partner with cross‑functional leaders to streamline processes, standardise configurations, and ensure stable delivery across Workday modules such as HCM and Absence.

You’ll own end‑to‑end testing lifecycles, manage data conversions with EIBs, and collaborate with Talent, Finance and IT to translate business needs

Qualifications

  • Hands-on Workday configuration across core modules (HCM/Absence).
  • Experience with end-to-end testing lifecycles and data conversions using EIBs.
  • Strong Workday security, business processes, and calculated fields knowledge.
  • Analytical problem-solving to identify root causes and build fixes.
  • High autonomy to manage workload and configuration decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement to explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end configuration, testing, and deployment across core Workday modules.
  • Act as Tier 2/3 to resolve complex ServiceNow tickets.
  • Maintain business processes, security groups, and rule configurations.
  • Support updates by external AMS provider ensuring governance standards.
  • Partner with P&C, Finance, and IT to translate business needs into technical specs.

Job Description

Join Nine’s People Transformation team as a Workday Functional Analyst (6-month contract) reporting to the Head of People Systems. In this role, you’ll support the Workday integration of a major new business acquisition into Nine’s platform. Partnering with cross‑functional leaders, you will directly shape Nine's digital‑first future by streamlining systems, standardising processes, and ensuring smooth platform stabilisation.

Day To Day You Will
  • Support the end-to-end configuration, testing, and deployment across core Workday modules.
  • Serve as the Tier 2/3 escalation point to investigate and resolve complex ServiceNow tickets.
  • Maintain business processes, security groups, and condition rules to meet evolving enterprise needs.
  • Support system updates executed by the external AMS provider to ensure governance standards.
  • Partner with P&C, Finance, and IT teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience with Workday configuration across core modules like HCM or Absence.
  • Proven capability in managing end‑to‑end testing lifecycles and data conversions using EIBs.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Workday security frameworks, business processes, and calculated fields.
  • Analytical problem‑solving skills to conduct root‑cause analysis and build sustainable fixes.
  • High level of autonomy with the confidence to manage your workload and configuration decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical partners.
